The Iron Horse Trail or the John Wayne Pioneer Trail is one the best rails-to-trails type conversions in the country. Originally, this was the route known as “The Milwaukee Road”. It was in operation until the 1970s when the railroad company turned bankrupt. Government bought this land and turned it into a wonderful trail for non-motorized vehicles.
Rattlesnake Ridge which is also called Rattlesnake Ledge or Rattlesnake Mountain is a mountain ridge that is located south of North Bend. It is a monolithic block of rock which is also the highest of the Issaquah Alps. This ridge towers over Rattlesnake Lake and the Snoqualmie River.
Twin Falls is located in the Cascades Mountains in Olallie State Park, just in thirty minutes from Seattle. Twin Falls is the tallest waterfall along the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River. Twin Falls Trail is a 1.2-mile trail, which takes hikers to the Twin Falls Bridge.
Franklin Falls is a short, only 1-mile hike that offers to plunge into the beautiful nature. This easy route takes hikers to the first of three major waterfalls on the South Fork Snoqualmie River – to Franklin Falls
The Granite Mountain Trail is a steep trail that requires much effort, but it leads to one of the best viewpoints in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. For many hikers, this trail is one of the favorite, because the views here take your breath away. At the end of the trail, hikers are surrounded by numerous summits, alpine terrain and they feel real closeness of the sky.
