If you are strolling along the boardwalk enjoying the huddle and festivity of Seattle Waterfront with all its sights and attractions, make sure not to miss Pier 62/63. It’s located just next to Seattle Aquarium.

The pier itself is very simple. Actually, it is a large platform, made out of untreated wooden planks, having just several chairs and ping pong table. But it possesses something that makes almost everyone fall in love with this place. And this is the serenity of the place and spectacular views it offers to its visitors.

Though Pier 62/63 is located along Seattle Waterfront, it’s rarely crowded. And even if there are some people there, the territory of the pier is so big that you will have enough “personal space” to enjoy the stunning view of Elliot Bay and gorgeous Olympic Mountains, meditating on eternal values.

The fascinating views from this vantage point are really miscellaneous.

Facing the majestic Puget Sound with admirable Olympic Mountains, you will have the view of the entire central part of Seattle Waterfront with all its attractions to your left. This view becomes especially enchanting during the dark part of the day, when millions of lamps are lit up and you can admire the light show of the Great Wheel.

And if you turn around you will be able to appreciate the skyline of Downtown Seattle, which is also quite an outstanding sight.

Pier 62/63 is used to be an eventful place, hosting the annual concert series which were called “Summer Nights at the Pier”. But it aged and became deteriorated, and it isn’t able any more to bear the heavy weights. Now the city plans to demolish it and build a new Pier 62/63, reshaped and having all the modern features, to provide the visitors of Seattle Waterfront with the best open space possible. We just hope that a new pier will have the same aura as the old one and will not lose its highlight.
