Directions:

From Interstate 405 North take Exit 2, go North on Rainier Avenue to South 3-rd and turn right. Continue on 3-rd and turn left on Mill Avenue South. Continue on Mill Avenue and then veer to the right on Bronson Way. On the right you will see City of Renton Library, and the park is situated directly after the library.

From Interstate 405 South take Exit 4. Choose the lane marked Bronson Way/City Center; veer to the right on Bronson Way, the park is situated on the left.

General Information:

Liberty Park is the oldest park in the city of Renton. Before 1914 this park belonged to the Sartori family, who sold the twelve acre park on July 14, 1914. Originally this park was called City Park and later the name was changed to Liberty Park in remembrance of World War I.

This park is considered to be the City’s main park with nice opportunities for active pastime and family recreation.

Here are nice opportunities for people who like walking, cycling, roller-skating, etc.

Liberty Park has nice lighted basketball and tennis courts. There is also a nice skate park, wonderful picnic areas with a shelter. For more information on picnic shelter reservation and rates call 425-430-6700.

For hiking lovers there is an access to Cedar River Trail that follows an old railroad from downtown Renton to King County’s Landsburg Park, and this trail stretches along beautiful and scenic Cedar River.
