Park Features:
Lake Union Park is located in the heart of the city of Seattle, just in a twenty minute walk from Downtown or just in fifteen minute streetcar ride. This is a perfect urban 12-acre park which offers numerous recreational opportunities for its’ visitors.
Hundred years ago this beautiful territory that was adjacent to Lake Union was considered to be the best place for an urban park with a nice waterfront. In 2005 it was decided to develop this beautiful site into the comfortable park.
Nowadays, Lake Union Park provides wonderful views, green lawns and blue waters of the lake. Residents of the city, neighborhood residents and tourists from all over the country will enjoy all this beauty, including waterfront steps, interactive fountains, landscaped mounds, tree grove and many other things.
The development of the park still continues, an education complex is planned to be constructed, the United Indians of All Tribes Foundation plans to develop Northwest Canoe Center. What really amazes is that this territory has been turned to a wonderful recreational place just in several years.
